Meograph is a free, easy multimedia storytelling tool. Students can quickly combine videos, audio, pictures, text, maps, timelines, and links to create what the developers call "four-dimensional storytelling." No registration is required and an education version is available. You have to play around with it to get the concept before introducing it to students.

50 Crucial Rules – Social Media Etiquette for Students

This document provides some great general rules for digital communication including grammar and some specific guidelines for Facebook and Twitter.

Read this article: Nine Themes of Digital Citizenship.
This week we will explore the nine elements of Digital Citizenship while we help Mrs. Holland to create a bulletin board called "Don't Get Caught in the Web." Each student will take one of those elements, write a summary of the element and give an example of bad web behavior.

  1. On YOUR wiki page, write a definitionof Digital Citizenship. Be sure your COOL TEXT name (first name only) is at the top of your wiki page. Your definition will go right under that.
  2. Then list the nine elements of digital citizenshipbelow the definition.
  3. Meet with your classmates, write your summaries of one of the elements. Put your summary on a Word document.
Meet with Mrs. Holland and Mrs. Shinn to create your part of the bulletin board.
